Pete Jones received his PhD from the University of Manchester. The thesis is titled “A social network analysis approach to examining gendered character positions in popular film narratives” and can be found here. Prior to his PhD, he completed an MSc in Social Research Methods and Statistics and a BA in Social Sciences, both at the University of Manchester. The main strand of his research explores relational perspectives and tools for analysing the narrative marginalisation of women in popular Hollywood cinema. He is currently continuing to develop this work through his ESRC Postdoctoral Fellowship, which is titled “Exploring the marginalisation of women in popular cinema using quantitative network tools”.

Pete Jones recibió su doctorado en la Universidad de Manchester. Su tesis se titula “Un enfoque de análisis de redes sociales para examinar las posiciones de los personajes de género en las narrativas cinematográficas populares” y se puede encontrar en aquí .
