In this chapter, we interview Alice Schwarze, a postdoctoral research scholar at the Department of Biology at the University of Washington in the group of Bing Brunton and a UW Data Science Postdoctoral Fellow at the eScience Institute. Her research combines ideas and methods from applied mathematics and network science to study complex systems in biology and neuroscience. She convene the seminar series on “Women in Network Science” (WiNS), and recently has been nominated as President of the council of WiNS. Also, she is very activate in Twitter, so we definitly recommend to follow her.

En este capítulo, entrevistamos a Alice Schwarze, investigadora postdoctoral en el Departamento de Biología de la Universidad de Washington en el grupo de Bing Brunton y becaria postdoctoral de UW Data Science en el eScience Institute. Su investigación combina ideas y métodos de matemáticas aplicadas y ciencia de redes para estudiar sistemas complejos en biología y neurociencia. Convocó la serie de seminarios sobre “Mujeres en la ciencia de redes” (WiNS) y recientemente ha sido nominada como presidenta del consejo de WiNS. Además, es muy activa en Twitter, por lo que definitivamente recomendamos seguirla.
