In this chapter, we interview Paola Tubaro, professor (Directrice de Recherche) at the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS, in French Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique). Trained as an economist and gradually morphed into a sociologist, she is at a major computer science lab, the Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire des Sciences du Numérique (LISN) on the Saclay campus just south of Paris. Her research is inter-disciplinary and leverages synergies between the social sciences and the recent developments of network science, machine learning and artificial intelligence. En este capítulo, entrevistamos a Paola Tubaro, profesora (Directrice de Recherche) en el Centro Nacional de Investigaciones Científicas (CNRS, en francés Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique). Formada como economista y poco a poco se transformó en socióloga, trabaja en un importante laboratorio de informática, el Laboratoire Interdisciplinaire des Sciences du Numérique (LISN) en el campus de Saclay, al sur de París. Su investigación es interdisciplinaria y aprovecha las sinergias entre las ciencias sociales y los desarrollos recientes de la ciencia de redes, el aprendizaje automático y la inteligencia artificial.
